Merry Christmas Friends!
I’m sitting here next to the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree while my boys build their latest Lego sets, my husband’s doing a yoga video, and I’m soaking up this quiet, beautiful time. Because let’s be real, at any moment there’ll be a Koosh ball flying past my head, the dog’ll start whining to go out, and my boys will be asking for the 10th time, “Mommmmmm! Why haven’t you built the air hockey table yet? Also, I’m starving. What’s for dinner?!”
Not complaining, but I’m pretty certain most of us boy moms can agree that we don’t describe motherhood as quiet.
So yes, I’m soaking it in and taking a moment to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had together, friend.
This year Decidedly Dry published 44 episodes.
I celebrated 4 years of living 100% alcohol-free.
And just this week, we celebrated 100k downloads on the podcast.
As you know, there’s nothing I love more than helping individuals discover how sweet life is once you remove alcohol. The fun doesn’t stop and the benefits are never-ending.
As we get closer to closing our 2023 chapter, I truly hope you continue to find ways to level up. Ways to feel better, do better, BE better. Choosing to be alcohol-free has gifted me the opportunity to become the best version of myself and I want that for you.
Thank you for choosing to walk this journey with me. Knowing that you’re listening, reading, and/or supporting me - means more than you’ll ever know.
Here’s to lots more dry humor, sober inspiration, and the opportunity to dig deeper in 2024!
PS. I’ve got a Christmas gift for YOU…
Next week - paid subscribers will be emailed a beautifully designed habit tracker to help measure their dry days. For those interested, we’ll also be focusing on growth in our movement and faith. We’ll have weekly discussions, journal prompts, and hopefully build a supportive community of like-minded individuals. If this sounds appealing, triple check that you are a paying Decidedly Dry Substack subscriber and if you feel like it, invite a friend to join you! More details to come next week.
