Newest Episode on Decidedly Dry:
Episode #78: Today’s episode is a big ‘ol recap of my trip to Texas. This past weekend, my siblings and I had the absolute privilege of attending the Austin City Limits Music Festival with my Dad (thanks Daaaaad!). I’ve been to many, many concerts sober before, but friends, this was a big one. 3 full days of live music, in Texas, drinks available at your fingertips the entire time, and the weather was simply perfecto. So today, I thought I’d share with you some of the tips and tools I utilized over the weekend and also a list of the incredible benefits I experienced because of my tremendous decision to stay completely alcohol-free throughout the whole trip. Enjoy!

Things I’m Digging:
Easy Peasy Mocktail: Just in time for Halloween, check out this Hocus Pocus Punch Recipe! Hocus Pocus Punch is full of cider, orange, cranberry and tastes delicious. Cheers!
My God-Curious Journey: Life has been unusually busy lately and if I’m being honest, it seems that my Bible study shifted to the back burner the past couple of weeks and I don’t like it. So this morning, I lit a candle, grabbed a cup of coffee, and sat down to finish the Gospel of John. WOW. Simply amazing and definitely the one I latched onto the most out of the four gospels. My takeaway this morning was John 20:29. Some people think they would believe in Jesus if they could see a definite sign or miracle. But Jesus says we are blessed if we can believe without seeing. We have all the proof we need in the words of the Bible and the testimony of believers. A physical appearance would not make Jesus anymore real to us than he is now. Kind of reminded me of that example we talked about earlier, how we can’t see the wind - but we know it’s real.
Currently Listening To: Discovered this fantastic podcast episode and have already listened to it twice: Understanding the Trinity with Tara Leigh Cobble (on the Truth Talks with Tara podcast).
Reading: Switching up my genre and currently reading The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell. So far it’s completely twisted, suspenseful and basically un-put-downable. Perfect for October!
This weekly newsletter and podcast is a free offering from my Substack newsletter, Decidedly Dry. There’s an option for you to purchase a subscription, which basically means you’re interested in supporting me and my work with your dollars. A paid subscription also means you’ll have access to different features beyond my weekly newsletter. Features *might* include: additional writings, bonus podcast episodes, resources, recipes, journal and doodle prompts, workout routines, etc. I’m not 100% sure yet and that’s what makes this kind of exciting. It allows me to experiment as I go and figure out how to build (what I hope to be) a long lasting, supportive, entertaining resource for you.
